As you may have read in today’s edition of 20 Minuten, the British Embassy in Berne is now also supporting the British government’s awareness campaign Don’t catch your death!, which was initiated by the British Consulate in Lyon, France, in December 2009.
The aim of the campaign is to help British tourists be safer on holidays and make the most of their trip. Unfamiliar environment, cold and high altitudes can indeed heighten the effects of alcohol and lead to accidents and other mishaps. More often than not they involve young people, students, seasonal workers and club groups.
Although the campaign is mainly targeted at tourists, of course the message also applies to local skiers and snowboarders! So, take care out there on and off the slopes 🙂
